The Pump House Restaurant Sat 21st March. Just had a meal at our favourite restaurant. How dissapointing. The meal was cooked well, however it was at best luke warm. The stacked chips were grey and almost raw, mixed amongt perfectly cooked ones, not a good combination. The sauce had it been hot would have been fine. This is not what you expect from a first class establishment. My wife had 3 double Bacardies, only the last one even hinted at Bacardi!
At £106.00 for 1 starter and two steaks, plus a reasonable bottle of wine, we had a much better meal for a fraction of the price at the Prince Bishop in Brandon Village. This was the first visit to the Pump House since it was taken over, and I can't see a reason to return in the near future. We also had a conversation to a couple on the next table to us who agreed with our sentements.
The Pump House Restaurant Have visited the Pumphouse several times and have always found it first class in every way - the food, the service, and all in a beautiful setting.
